Our approach.
Throw open the door to recovery.
Many people who experience mental health or psychosocial challenges do recover, but how this happens is different because each person is different.
Recovery doesn’t just happen in one way. In fact, we believe the true definition of recovery comes from the person themselves. Just like you, recovery looks and feels different for all our clients.
When we say recovery, we don’t mean a cure, but being able to live a full life even when mental health challenges are there. You are more than your symptoms and diagnosis.
Within a recovery-orientated approach, you are considered the expert. We don’t tell you what you must do, but instead, we guide you. We want you to make decisions that you feel are best and safest. That’s where our experience and professional skills kicks-in.
Our approach gives you a voice and is a process built on trust providing you with the confidence that recovery is possible. And we like to match your recovery with your personality. Whatever you need, we’re here for it.
That is why we created Qlara, to support you with your recovery by providing trauma-informed care, using a holistic, person-centred approach, giving you choice and control through collaboration and connection.
The four main pillars of our service.
-
Trauma is very prevalent, complex and often misunderstood. Different people experience different traumas differently - it’s not a one-size fits all approach. Everything we do takes your personal experiences into consideration, including the experiences of the people you choose to care and support you. Helping you to understand more about trauma and yourself better is our goal.
-
Holistic care is about treating you as a person and giving consideration to your physical, psychological, social and spiritual well-being. Having a person-centred approach allows us to tailor support to meet your specific needs.
-
First and foremost, you have the choice and control over all aspects of your recovery. Having agency, creates empowerment and gives you the ability to change your life in ways that you feel will be most successful.
-
Our support is created to allow for collaboration and connection, two components that are necessary for the recovery process.
